Laurence Ferar, the firm’s principal, holds Masters degrees in both Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds professional registration in Oregon, Washington and California and is a LEED accredited professional. Mr. Ferar established his firm in 1983 after working for design offices in Portland, Oregon and France. He also served as adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon School of Architecture. The firm’s work has been published in Sunset, Wine Business Monthly, Practical Winery & Vineyard, Revue Des Oenologues, and KiaOra ( Air New Zealand ) magazines, and is featured in Cantine by Veronica Pirazzini, Small Gardens by John Brookes, and A City Gardener’s Handbook by Linda Yang. Laurence Ferar and Associates has worked with private clients, public agencies, neighborhood groups, and has enjoyed successful collaboration with other design professionals.
