After 20 years of hard work and devotion, Mr. Chang has built Pacific Holidays from scratch to its current status of a major US tour operator for travel to Asia, the South Pacific and Latin America. Having lived through China’s tumultuous years in the ’60s and ’70s, Mr. Chang steadfastly pushes business through the down times and ensures that it thrives during the good times. Building on his own extensive travel experience throughout the world, he has developed innovative tour programs to various destinations. Mr. Chang treasures a close relationship with consumers and travel agents. His philosophy is: “Putting principles ahead of profits.” Majoring in the English language and linguistics, Mr. Chang was trained to be a teacher. He taught English for a few years before becoming a tour guide at China International Travel Service’s (CITS’s) Nanjing branch in 1978. With more than 30 years in the travel industry, Mr. Chang has never left the tour operation business .
