Board Certified Physicians. South Peninsula Hospital is underway with a significant facility expansion and renovation. Saturday, February 16, 2008 was the grand opening event of the first phase of construction (east wing) which includes a new Emergency Department, Imaging Department, Specialty Clinic and Admitting area. The new wing is now open and fully functional. Hospital users are asked to use the new access route to the hospital, up Main Street and left on Bayview Avenue, and park in the upper east lot and use the new upper main entrance. The completed project will provide a new patient wing, single occupancy rooms, a rooftop helicopter landing pad and expanded surgery and outpatient areas. .
