Palmetto Oakland is a New American restaurant in Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood, across from The Fox Theatre. As a first-generation American, Chef Manuel Bonilla weaves flavors from his heritage (his mother is from the Philippines and father is from El Salvador) into classical cooking techniques and familiar American dishes. These include grilled ribeye steak, bone-in pork-chop, seasonal vegetable dishes, steak tartar, mussels, escargot, and Prime Rib Dinner every Wednesday. The Cocktail Menu, curated by Bar Manager Jeanie Grant, is influenced by classic cocktails, but introduces modern tropical flavors and unusual spirit pairings. Palmetto also offers a curated Wine and Beer list that focuses on small producers.
