Stand Up: Every mixed martial artist needs to understand and master all forms of footwork, elbowing, kicking, kneeing and punching. (Ju Ki Do and AikiJujitsu)Clinch: Every mixed martial artists needs to understand and master all forms of clinching, takedowns and throws. (Judo, Sambo and Muay Thai)Ground: Every mixed martial artist needs to understand and master ground control and position, as well as to achieve submission holds, and defend against them.(Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo) .
