The Center For Dance Arts II

The Center for Dance Arts II is proud to be a recreational dance studio located in beautiful downtown Winsted CT. Our focus is not only providing the best dance training available but also instilling teamwork, confidence and discipline in all of our dancers. Our atmosphere is relaxing, fun, friendly and family oriented! We love what we do, and it reflects back in all of our students! Our competition students have competed regionally for the past 8 years and during this time have won over 600 awards! All of the dancers that have graduated with CFDA II have gone on to college or trade school! Our staff consists of Lisa Cormier (owner), Carissa Monroe and Sara Donaghy. All of our teachers have the same goal: to teach your child the art of dance while encouraging new friendships, building confidence and creativity in an atmosphere where they feel safe and comfortable. No negative attitudes are tolerated and we have a no bullying policy! Our classes begin in September and end in June with a fantastic and fun recital held at Northwest Regional 7 High School! We are an equal opportunity studio and will turn no one away! All are welcome and family discounts are available! Classes start at $42 per month and go up depending on the amount of classes enrolled. Family and multiple class discounts are available as well as discounts for payments in full. Payment plans are available upon request. We offer classes in ballet, tap, acrobatics, jazz, hip hop and preschool dance starting at age 2 1/2! Classes are arranged by age and level, giving dancers the opportunity to participate in more than one style in the same day. With the exception of our competitive dance teams, all other classes are recreational and meet once a week. We offer the highest quality of dance instruction in the area in a positive atmosphere! We also offer dancewear products available for purchase through our studio! Our dance school has two studios in which classes are held. Both consist of Pergo flooring, a full wall of mirrors and ballet bars. A sound system is located in each room as well. The larger and main studio contains a video surveillance system where once a month you can view your child’s classes! A water cooler is also provided to help our dancers stay hydrated! Mon 5pm-8pm. Tues 3pm-8:30pm. Wed 4pm-9pm. Thurs 4pm-9pm. Fri 4pm-7:30pm. Sat 8am-10:30pm.
